# Fanfics vs Fated

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fanfics at every 4 days against Fated's every 2 months. Fanfics also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fanfics sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Fated sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fanfics ships an update every 4 days, Fated every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
