# Strangers Here vs MapWizard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Strangers Here at 71% against MapWizard's 0%. Strangers Here also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (124 vs 5). MapWizard's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs paid) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MapWizard holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strangers Here has 124 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Strangers Here's written reviews are positive against 0% of MapWizard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Strangers Here ships an update monthly, MapWizard every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
