# CapWords vs TalkPaper

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CapWords at 614 against TalkPaper's 1. CapWords also leads on chart position (#190 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). TalkPaper's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CapWords sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and TalkPaper sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TalkPaper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CapWords has 614 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CapWords ships an update every 5 days, TalkPaper every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
