# LooRead vs TaleWave

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LooRead at 65% against TaleWave's 25%. LooRead also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.1 vs 3.8). TaleWave's advantage is chart position (#200 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LooRead sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and TaleWave sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LooRead holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LooRead has 550 ratings behind it against 83, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of LooRead's written reviews are positive against 25% of TaleWave's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
