# PureWallet vs Squirrel Wallet

The clearest difference is rating: Squirrel Wallet at 5.0 against PureWallet's 4.4. PureWallet's advantage is ratings volume (63 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Squirrel Wallet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureWallet has 63 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PureWallet ships an update every 3 weeks, Squirrel Wallet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
