# NCLEX PN Prep vs Nclips

The clearest difference is monetization model: NCLEX PN Prep at free with in-app purchases against Nclips's subscription. NCLEX PN Prep also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (9 vs 3). Nclips's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NCLEX PN Prep sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Nclips sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $99.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for NCLEX PN Prep against 5.0 for Nclips. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 3 respectively.

NCLEX PN Prep ships an update every 3 weeks, Nclips every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
