# Bloomnote vs YouNews

The clearest difference is rating: Bloomnote at 4.3 against YouNews's 3.5. Bloomnote also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 50%) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). YouNews's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bloomnote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and YouNews sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bloomnote holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bloomnote has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Bloomnote's written reviews are positive against 50% of YouNews's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
