# MindMax vs Nooka

The clearest difference is ads: MindMax at none against Nooka's shown. MindMax also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 25). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindMax sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month and Nooka sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindMax holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MindMax has 1.6K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 83% and 83% positive.

MindMax ships an update weekly, Nooka every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
