# Steps Unlock vs Focado

The clearest difference is rating: Focado at 4.8 against Steps Unlock's 3.7. Focado also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 3). Steps Unlock's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steps Unlock sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Focado sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focado holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focado has 1.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Steps Unlock ships an update every 5 days, Focado every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
