# Live Earth Camera vs Cartogram

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cartogram at every 2 days against Live Earth Camera's monthly. Cartogram also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1). Live Earth Camera's advantage is ratings volume (511 vs 7) and review sentiment (15% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Earth Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Cartogram sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cartogram holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Earth Camera has 511 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Live Earth Camera's written reviews are positive against 0% of Cartogram's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Live Earth Camera ships an update monthly, Cartogram every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
