# Stash vs nxnote

The clearest difference is monetization model: nxnote at free against Stash's freemium. nxnote also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stash sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and nxnote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Stash against 5.0 for nxnote. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively.

Stash ships an update monthly, nxnote every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
