# WODwell vs Lockout

The clearest difference is monetization model: WODwell at free with in-app purchases against Lockout's subscription. WODwell also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WODwell sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month and Lockout sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
