# BetterResources vs JW Habits

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BetterResources at none against JW Habits's 3. BetterResources also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). JW Habits's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JW Habits sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. BetterResources asks for nothing beyond the download.

JW Habits holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 52 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of BetterResources's written reviews are positive against 83% of JW Habits's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BetterResources ships an update every 9 days, JW Habits every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
