# VoteMapper Election Simulator vs The Democrat App

The clearest difference is update cadence: VoteMapper Election Simulator at every 3 days against The Democrat App's every 4 weeks. VoteMapper Election Simulator also leads on chart position (#85 vs unranked) and ratings volume (16 vs 2). The Democrat App's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VoteMapper Election Simulator sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and The Democrat App sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for VoteMapper Election Simulator against 5.0 for The Democrat App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VoteMapper Election Simulator has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VoteMapper Election Simulator ships an update every 3 days, The Democrat App every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
