# Space vs Therassist

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Therassist at none against Space's 2. Therassist also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). Space's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year. Therassist asks for nothing beyond the download.

Therassist holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Space ships an update every 2 weeks, Therassist every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
