# Focus Dial vs CaseNote

The clearest difference is monetization model: CaseNote at free against Focus Dial's paid. CaseNote also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Focus Dial's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Focus Dial against 5.0 for CaseNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Dial has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Focus Dial ships an update every 3 weeks, CaseNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
