# WeatherFront vs CloudPath

The clearest difference is monetization model: CloudPath at free against WeatherFront's free with in-app purchases. CloudPath also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). WeatherFront's advantage is ratings volume (439 vs 3) and chart position (#29 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeatherFront sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and CloudPath sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CloudPath holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeatherFront has 439 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of WeatherFront's written reviews are positive against 100% of CloudPath's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
