# Hours Calculator vs Log

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Log at none against Hours Calculator's 6. Log also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Hours Calculator's advantage is ratings volume (37 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hours Calculator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Log asks for nothing beyond the download.

Log holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hours Calculator has 37 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hours Calculator ships an update every 5 days, Log every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
