About

Komame

Features

Komame is a cozy 3D home and timer that helps children get ready on their own. The name comes from the Japanese word "komame," which means doing little things diligently, every day. Our goal: fewer "Hurry up!" and "Did you brush your teeth?" during the busiest part of the day. A CHARACTER THAT DOES IT WITH THEM Pick "Brush teeth" and the character walks to the bathroom and starts brushing. Your child does the same thing in real life. A simple progress bar shows how much time is left at a glance, so nobody has to stare at the screen. The character also chats with your child in little speech bubbles. THEY SAY "DONE!" THEMSELVES When they finish, children tap "Done" on their own. Start with "Confirm together" and move to "On their own" as they grow. You choose the level for each child. ROUTINES THAT FIT YOUR FAMILY - 15 everyday tasks: brush teeth, wash face, get changed, pack your bag, meal, tidy up, bath, bedtime and more - Build your own routines, like a morning routine or an evening routine, with the order, days of the week and start times - Per task: minimum time, points, and whether a grown-up confirms - A simple timer with a short note for anything else EFFORT TURNS INTO REWARDS Finished tasks earn points that children can trade for rewards you set. Nothing can be bought with real money. GROW VEGETABLES FROM SEED In the garden, children choose mini tomatoes, green peppers, eggplant, carrots, spinach or broccoli and grow them from seed: water every day, replant, move the bugs away, and harvest. If the plants are left for several days, they wilt and can wither. Kids feel how much care it takes to grow food. After the harvest, Komame gently asks, "Want to try the real thing?" If they do, they can note it in their Veggie book. Saying no is fine too. A DOG IN THE LIVING ROOM A friendly dog lives in the living room. Pet it and play together. "ALL DONE FOR TODAY" IS A REAL CHOICE Komame is not designed to keep kids on screens. When the tasks are done, close the app and head out the door. FOR PARENTS - No account. Everything stays on the device and nothing is sent anywhere. - No camera, microphone or location. - Settings are protected by a 4-digit code. - Separate profiles for each child on one device. - Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German and Indonesian. Recommended for ages 3–12.
