# JustNote vs Sediment

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sediment at daily against JustNote's fortnightly. Sediment also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JustNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sediment sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JustNote ships an update fortnightly, Sediment daily. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
