# Reconnaissance Journal vs fast_burn

The clearest difference is update cadence: fast_burn at every 8 days against Reconnaissance Journal's every 3 weeks. Reconnaissance Journal's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reconnaissance Journal sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and fast_burn sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reconnaissance Journal ships an update every 3 weeks, fast_burn every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
