# Shehnai vs Simple Trombone

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Trombone at 4.8 against Shehnai's 3.0. Simple Trombone also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shehnai sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simple Trombone sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Trombone holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Trombone has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shehnai ships an update every 4 months, Simple Trombone every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
