# MsgGuard vs YBlock

The clearest difference is ads: YBlock at none against MsgGuard's shown. MsgGuard's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MsgGuard sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year and YBlock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
