# Max vs VideoFlow

The clearest difference is update cadence: VideoFlow at every 3 weeks against Max's every 4 months. VideoFlow also leads on iOS requirement (15.8 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Max sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and VideoFlow sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Max ships an update every 4 months, VideoFlow every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
