# Max vs Private Browser

The clearest difference is update cadence: Private Browser at every 2 weeks against Max's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Max sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Private Browser sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Max ships an update every 3 months, Private Browser every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
