# NovRead vs TaleWave

The clearest difference is ads: NovRead at none against TaleWave's shown. NovRead also leads on review sentiment (39% vs 25%) and ratings volume (408 vs 83). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NovRead sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days and TaleWave sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TaleWave holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 408 and 83 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of NovRead's written reviews are positive against 25% of TaleWave's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NovRead ships an update monthly, TaleWave every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
