# Super Simple Weight Tracker vs Steady Scale

The clearest difference is monetization model: Super Simple Weight Tracker at free with in-app purchases against Steady Scale's subscription. Steady Scale's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Super Simple Weight Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Steady Scale sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steady Scale holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively.

Super Simple Weight Tracker ships an update monthly, Steady Scale every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
