# Snips vs GigTern

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Snips at 22 against GigTern's 1. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snips sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $34.99 per month and GigTern sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Snips against 5.0 for GigTern. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snips has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snips ships an update every 3 days, GigTern every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
