# This or That vs Reverse play

The clearest difference is rating: Reverse play at 5.0 against This or That's 4.2. Reverse play also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks). This or That's advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. This or That sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Reverse play sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reverse play holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: This or That has 21K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

This or That ships an update every 3 weeks, Reverse play daily. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
