# FromPast vs Time Capsule

The clearest difference is ads: Time Capsule at none against FromPast's shown. FromPast's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FromPast sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Time Capsule sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FromPast ships an update every 2 weeks, Time Capsule every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
