# Neobox vs Jotted

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Neobox at none against Jotted's 3. Jotted's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jotted sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Neobox asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for Neobox against 3.1 for Jotted. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jotted has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Neobox ships an update every 5 weeks, Jotted every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
