# Lecture Recorder. vs Record Lectures

The clearest difference is update cadence: Record Lectures at every 3 days against Lecture Recorder.'s every 5 weeks. Record Lectures also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Lecture Recorder.'s advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and ratings volume (158 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lecture Recorder. sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Record Lectures sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Record Lectures holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lecture Recorder. has 158 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Lecture Recorder.'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Record Lectures's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lecture Recorder. ships an update every 5 weeks, Record Lectures every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
