# Balalaika vs Simple Trombone

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simple Trombone at every 4 weeks against Balalaika's every 3 months. Simple Trombone also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 2). Balalaika's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Balalaika sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simple Trombone sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
