# VPN vs DragonFast

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DragonFast at none against VPN's 3. VPN's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (71% vs 44%). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. DragonFast asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.5 for VPN against 3.7 for DragonFast. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 274 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 44% of DragonFast's.

VPN ships an update fortnightly, DragonFast every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
