# GR Lab vs Filmer

The clearest difference is rating: Filmer at 5.0 against GR Lab's 4.1. GR Lab's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GR Lab sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Filmer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Filmer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GR Lab has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GR Lab ships an update every 9 days, Filmer every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
