# PencilDiary vs Faspry

The clearest difference is update cadence: PencilDiary at every 2 weeks against Faspry's every 2 months. PencilDiary also leads on ratings volume (41 vs 2). Faspry's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PencilDiary sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Faspry sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Faspry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PencilDiary has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

PencilDiary ships an update every 2 weeks, Faspry every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
