# ScribeMe vs Lanson Live

The clearest difference is rating: Lanson Live at 5.0 against ScribeMe's 3.9. ScribeMe's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScribeMe sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Lanson Live sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lanson Live holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScribeMe has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
