# ScribeMe vs MindStem

The clearest difference is update cadence: MindStem at every 5 days against ScribeMe's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScribeMe sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MindStem sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScribeMe ships an update every 3 weeks, MindStem every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
