# Humanize it vs LegitWriter

The clearest difference is monetization model: Humanize it at freemium against LegitWriter's subscription. Humanize it also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (66 vs 5). LegitWriter's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Humanize it sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and LegitWriter sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LegitWriter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Humanize it has 66 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Humanize it ships an update fortnightly, LegitWriter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
