# Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 vs Dead Express

Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 and Dead Express both sit at 3.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Dead Express's written reviews are positive against 25% of Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2's. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Dead Express sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 32 and 42 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2's written reviews are positive against 70% of Dead Express's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
