# GoPass vs DART Transit

The clearest difference is rating: GoPass at 4.8 against DART Transit's 2.8. GoPass also leads on review sentiment (48% vs 16%) and ratings volume (90K vs 78). DART Transit's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GoPass holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GoPass has 90K ratings behind it against 78, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of GoPass's written reviews are positive against 16% of DART Transit's.

GoPass ships an update every 3 months, DART Transit monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
