# Embark Vet vs GoWoofer

The clearest difference is monetization model: GoWoofer at free against Embark Vet's free with in-app purchases. GoWoofer also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Embark Vet's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 4). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Embark Vet against 5.0 for GoWoofer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Embark Vet has 2.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
