# BeFreed vs Scripture Power

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Scripture Power at none against BeFreed's 18. Scripture Power also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). BeFreed's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (4.1K vs 3). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeFreed sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.00 per month. Scripture Power asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scripture Power holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BeFreed has 4.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BeFreed ships an update every 9 days, Scripture Power every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
