# APT vs Animal Sort

The clearest difference is rating: Animal Sort at 4.1 against APT's 3.3. Animal Sort also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 3). APT's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Animal Sort holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animal Sort has 46 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
