# Splitly vs Tip Calculator

The clearest difference is update cadence: Splitly at every 2 weeks against Tip Calculator's every 6 weeks. Splitly also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Splitly sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tip Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Splitly ships an update every 2 weeks, Tip Calculator every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
