# Audio Playground vs Happy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Audio Playground at none against Happy's 1. Happy's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Happy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per month. Audio Playground asks for nothing beyond the download.

Happy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Happy has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Audio Playground ships an update every 3 months, Happy weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 11, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
