# Dulcimer Sim vs Easy Flute

The clearest difference is update cadence: Easy Flute at every 3 weeks against Dulcimer Sim's every 3 months. Dulcimer Sim's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dulcimer Sim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Easy Flute sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Dulcimer Sim against 5.0 for Easy Flute. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dulcimer Sim has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dulcimer Sim ships an update every 3 months, Easy Flute every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
