# Work Timer vs ASCII

The clearest difference is update cadence: ASCII at daily against Work Timer's every 3 weeks. ASCII also leads on iOS requirement (18.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ASCII sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Work Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, ASCII daily. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
