# Live Happier vs Friend Check

The clearest difference is monetization model: Friend Check at free with in-app purchases against Live Happier's subscription. Friend Check also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0.0 vs 17.4). Live Happier's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days) and ratings volume (12 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Happier sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Friend Check sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Live Happier against 5.0 for Friend Check. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 3 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Live Happier ships an update every 2 days, Friend Check every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
