# TBChat vs FoxChat

The clearest difference is rating: TBChat at 5.0 against FoxChat's 4.8. TBChat also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). FoxChat's advantage is ratings volume (44 vs 7) and iOS requirement (14 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TBChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoxChat has 44 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

TBChat ships an update fortnightly, FoxChat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
